Nation-Wide Recycling and Deposit System

Returpack Svenska AB www.returpack.se is responsible for a nation-wide Swedish deposit system which includes collection and recycling of aluminium cans and PET bottled beverages.

The deposit machines are installed in several thousands of food stores across the country.

On behalf of Returpack Edgecode produced a study, system architecture and a data model for a new system to handle direct crediting system.

Direct Crediting means that all the deposit machines are regularly inventoried using a dial-up connection to Returpack's central system. Edgecode also modelled the GUI (graphic user interface) for the system.
